We're back with another debut release, and like the previous record on the label, the artist comes from the south of Portugal as well - Portimão this time.

Roundhouse Kick are actually a couple, and one with unusual couple fixations: they're constantly buying, experimenting and selling synths, drum machines and records. Fortunately their passion actually translates into more than just encyclopedic knowledge and an impressive collection - the 1st time we heard "ARM1X" at their place, still an unfinished version at the time, we immediately fell in love with the track.

They also have a kick-ass live act that quickly put their name on the lips of most discerning electronic music fans from Lisbon with just a handful of gigs, including two floor smashing, hardware-based live sets on two of our label nights.

These tracks got enthusiastic early support from Jackmaster, Phillip Sherburne, Dan Avery and other relevant dance music players of the now, and have been gathering some of the biggest fan reaction and radio play since we started the label, focusing on a no-gimmick approach to production, combining analogue and digital in search of an honest, evocative sound, inspired in equal parts by the increasingly documented traditions of Detroit and Chicago and the formative early years of a naive and emotional portuguese rave scene.

For the remix we've invited the excellent Auntie Flo, delivering two versions instead of one - Remix and Dub mix - in the fine dance music tradition of adapting the remix to various DJs and dancefloor moments.

(played "ARM1X" on the Numbers show on Rinse FM - here's the youtube rip: )

"love this. the auntie flo remixes are great but it;s the original that is really doing ti for me. my wife just came in the room to ask what it was and she almost never does that so that's a good sign."

"MASSIVE love it"
(included "Industrial Dream" on his latest mix - 2nd track here: Justinrobertson-deadstock – Justin-robertson-high-lane-dj )

"very good guys"

"Another great release on OEJ. Industrial Dream is the one for me. Lush, trippy club music that isn't afraid of the dancefloor."

"Another exceptional single!!! Arm1x is amazing!!! dark, sexually driven techno!!
Industrial Dream is music metabolized by the pineal gland.... short, bright and psychedelic! excellent! All the remixes are great!!!"

"super cool release!!! love the originals and the remixes. 100% swedish support!!!"

"hey guys! this record sounds sick. its hard to pick a favorite, maybe "ARM1X". they are all really spacey and jackin. will be playing at least one of these soon as i get the chance."
