Sangue de Cristo is a musical collaboration between Photonz and Tiago Miranda (DFA / Italians Do It Better). Tiago is best known for his excellent work as one of the resident DJ's at the renowned LUX club, in Lisbon, and he's also an amazing producer, with releases on DFA, Italians Do It Better, Rong, Skylax, ESP Institute, Devil Disco and other dope labels. Some of his aliases have been I-Boat Captain, Sea Power & Change, Slight Delay (with Lisbon's very own DJ Al) or simply Tiago.
Both "Ponta do Mato" and "Cova do Vapor" are the names of two desolate beaches in the south side of the Tagus river, in the suburbs of Lisbon. Both used to be lively places, holding both touristic, piscatory or even military infrastructures, most of them now abandoned and decaying as ancient ruins, slowly melting into vast, contemplative and beautiful natural landscapes.
These two tracks emerged from a series of collaborations that started in 2009 between these producers, and a few more might emerge in the future resulting from this creative exchange.
Support from Tim Sweeney (Beats In Space), Ewan Pearson, Hardrock Striker (Skylax), Andy Blake (World Unknown / Dissident), George Issakidis (Dzir) Jackmaster (Numbers), Cardopusher, Axel Boman, Auntie Flo (Highlife / Huntleys & Palmers), Ghost On Tape (Numbers), Subeena (Opit / Planet Mu), Social Disco Club, Snuff Crew, Semtek (Don't Be Afraid / RA), ZNTN (How The Other Half Lives / Astrolab), George Issakidis (Dzir), Danny Passarella (Passarella Death Squad/Dzir) and more.
