Next on our label One Eyed Jacks is the 2nd EP from portuguese DJ, producer, rapper - as part of A.M.O.R. soon to drop their self-released debut album - and overall lovely girl, Violet . The refix is by the anonymous and enigmatic portuguese producer from Cascais, Ursa's Reef.

Violet's The Chain EP, powers through the space-time limits of your usual clubbing experience, overflowing with noospheric soul and surfing your naive raver brain while seeking to manifest itself outwards, in the form of empathy and air-fisting, ultimately revealing the great lie of separation and time-binding objective "reality".

"sounds a lot like New Order circa "The Perfect Kiss," filtered through the menacing sensibilities of Valencia's "Ruta del Bakalao." Like "Mønster," its power comes in part from its contradictory nature, playing sharp, stabbing motions against uplifting choirs and bright-eyed counterpoints. The rest of the EP isn't too shabby either — particularly "Trill," which manages the unlikely feat of finding common ground between Metro Area and Kowton."
